Field Trips
Solebury Orchards began in 1985 on a 24
acre site with plantings of apples, peaches, pears, and a few plums, cherries,
and apricots. Blueberries, raspberries, and blackberries were planted
several years later. The farm market was opened in 1989 and business grew
steadily as customers realized how good fruit can taste. In 1996, a 45
acre field just east on Creamery Road was added to the farm. Today the orchard
covers 70 acres and is looking forward to many bountiful harvests.
In addition to growing great fruit, Solebury Orchards also presses apple cider and makes applesauce, both having a very loyal following.
