“All About Apples”

Our “All About Apples” Field Trip is designed for school groups, ages three and up. In a lively presentation we explain the obvious seasonal changes that take place annually in the orchard, the paralleling subtleties of an Apples’ growth and development on the tree, followed by the steps we take to determine its final destination. Our goal is to give viewers a better understanding of how Apples grow, and what it takes to prepare them for Fresh Market sale or processing into the many Apple Products you might enjoy, including a taste of our fresh pressed Cider! The second part is a hands on Apple Picking experience. We ride out into the orchard and give everyone a chance to try their hand at Apple Picking! Each person will then have their very own kid sized bag of Apples to take home.

Scheduling & Fees

The “All About Apples” Field Trip runs Tuesday through Friday throughout September and October.
The trip will take approximately 1½ hours.
Fees are $10.00 per visitor, with a minimum charge of $150.00 for groups for 15 or fewer.
The wagon ride and kid-size bags of picked apples are included in the fee.
We can accommodate groups of up to 120 visitors, and reservations are necessary.
All visitors (including parents and siblings) will be charged for the trip with the exception of class teachers
This trip is not appropriate for children under age three.
The trip takes place rain or shine. If the weather looks uncertain, please have the children wear raincoats and boots, grab your umbrellas, and plan to come. A major part is held indoors and we can work around the weather, so rarely is a trip disrupted.
