Picking your own is a great way to enjoy the day surrounded by beautiful fields of berries and orchards. In the Summer months, there are Blueberries, Blackberries, and Flowers and in the Fall, there are Apples of many different varieties. In the cutting garden you can wade through the waist high flowers and make up a special bouquet from the abundant selection. During weekends in September and October there are wagon rides through the orchards for apple picking. All pick-your-own fruit is priced by the pound for whatever you pick. Opening for the season on Thursday, June 25, hours Thursday through Sunday 9 to 6
For our opening week we will have limited Blueberry picking while supplies last. Blueberry picking availability should be good the following week and continue through July, but be sure to check back here before planning a trip out.
There will be no cherry picking this season. Unfortunately, our Cherry crop of both sweet and sour varieties was decimated by freezing temperatures on April 21. On this date we had a low temperature of 23 degrees and after unusually warm weather in March and early April, the spring growth had advanced to a point vulnerable to freezing.
We are able to bring in excellent quality Cherries from outside our region to keep our market stocked and anticipate having a good supply for our first week and into July. Sour cherries are too delicate to ship in but we will have frozen packs available for purchase.
