Apple Picking 2026

Apple picking will look a little different this year!
As many of you know, our orchard, like many in this area, was hit hard by a freeze in late April which took out most of our crops, including a major portion of our apples.

We know how much our community looks forward to apple picking each fall, and we’re doing our best to make sure this tradition can still be enjoyed this year.

There are very few apples in our orchard, and at most times there will not be any apples to pick from the trees.
We are sourcing apples from New York orchards to stock our Market and will have bins of apples in the orchard rows as a substitute. While we won’t have as many varieties as we typically would, we are fortunate to be able to work directly with farms to obtain apples whose crunch and sweetness are just like our own!

The wagon will be running on weekends and we will of course have Cider Donuts, Cider Ice, and Cider along with our other products! Please note reservations for orchard visits will still be required on Saturdays and Sundays in September and October. No reservations are required if only planning to visit our Market.

Additionally, we have a few new activities to look forward to! These include craft Sundays with Twyl Trolley and story time with the NHS Library, an Apple Scavenger Hunt, and a new Pumpkin Patch!

Thursday, October 22 through Sunday, October 25

As a result of freezing temperatures this spring our apple crop has been significantly reduced. Depending on when you come, you may have difficulty finding apples in the trees and at most times there will not be any apples to pick from the trees, but we will have apple bins out in the orchard rows. Availability this week will be Honey Crisp, Fuji, Pink Lady, and Pixie Crunch apples in bins. For picking from the trees we will have Gold Rush, EverCrisp, and Salida del Sol on Thursday and Friday, while supplies last. Pumpkins are available at the Market or for picking from the Pumpkin Patch. On weekends our tractor and wagon will be running to take you out to the orchard and Pumpkin Patch, weather permitting. Reservations are required for weekend orchard visits.

The picking season will continue through Sunday, November 1.

The Cutting Garden is still open for picking.
